Imagine if No One Ever Talked to You About Jesus...

Do you remember the very first time someone talked to you about Jesus?

Many of you probably can’t recall that first time because it seems like it has been happening all your life. For as long as you can remember, people were sharing the Gospel with you, asking you questions, and making sure that you understood what you were learning. You may have been exposed to the Bible at home, or at church, or even in the community. In fact, people sharing the Gospel may be something that you took for granted. Because, of course, people would talk to you about Jesus. They know how to communicate with you. They presume that you are competent and able to learn. They know you need a Savior.

But what if things were different? What if you had a disability that impacted the way you communicated? What if you were non-speaking (nonverbal)? And what if because of this, most of the people around you didn’t know how to communicate with you? What if many people presumed that you couldn’t learn? And what if, because your life looked different from theirs, they didn’t understand that you needed a Savior too. What if because of all of these things, no one ever talked to you about Jesus?

Imagine what your life would be like without knowing Jesus. What might happen next?

For most of us who follow-Christ, contemplating a life without Jesus is hard to do. But for many people with profound disabilities, being left out of learning the Gospel happens all the time. We think this needs to change.

That is why we are so passionate about creating adapted kids Bible story videos that use research-based techniques like repetition, interaction, and multi-sensory teaching. It’s why every Bible story comes with downloadable discussion questions in two learning levels. Level one is for kids with mild to moderate needs, who thrive on activity-based learning. Level two is for kids with moderate to intensive needs, who may also be non-speaking and communicate better through pictures. And that's why all of our adapted materials are free and easy to use. So that every parent, church leader, and community member can have the tools they need to share the Gospel with ALL kids. Because every child can communicate, has the capacity to learn, and needs a Savior.

Now, there's one more thing I want you to imagine before you go. Imagine the first time a child who learns and communicates differently hears the Gospel in a way that meets their needs. What might happen next?
